Hood Presents: NHFB's
2nd annual Oktoberfest

On Saturday, September 8th over 300 guests visited the Alps of Manchester despite overwhelming heat to celebrate the New Hampshire Food Bank’s 2nd annual Oktoberfest, which raised $34,340 for NHFB programs and services. The money raised at this year’s event will go a long way to aiding the NHFB in its mission of fighting hunger this holiday season and beyond.
Special thanks for this successful event goes out to all of our sponsors, especially Hood, WOKQ, and Spectrum Monthly and Printing, to all of our awesome beer vendors for donating the best brews in New England, to our generous food vendors, not only for your great food, but for all of your hard work, and to our craft vendors for sharing their beautiful art with us. Thank you also to David Anderson for donating your magic, comedy, and balloon animals, and to King Ludwig’s Bavarian Band for your music. Thank you to Governor John Lynch and Mayor Frank Guinta for saying a few words on behalf of the New Hampshire Food Bank. Thank you to the City of Manchester , Special Events of New England, and to all of our raffle donors, Stop & Shop for donating volunteer lunches .
An especially big thank you goes out to all of our volunteers who worked the Oktoberfest in 95 degree heat, without you the event would not have gone so smoothly.

Oktoberfest 2006
People came out in droves on Saturday, October 21 to help the NH Food Bank celebrate our first annual Oktoberfest, and by all accounts the event was a success. Oktoberfest 2006 raised $21,000 to benefit the Food Bank's programs and services which help feed nearly 100,000 hungry New Hampshire residents. New England's famous King Ludwig's Bavarian Band supplied music and entertainment, while magician Dave Anderson wowed with his magic and balloon creatures. New England's finest German restaurant, Inn at Danbury and Manchester's own Red Arrow Diner fed the crowd, while six beer vendors with more than ten varieties of beer kept the crowd's thirst quenched and spirits lively.

A special thanks goes out to WOKQ and Autofair for collecting more than 500 pounds of food and for donating a 1997 Ford F-150. Many thanks go out to our sponsors, and raffle donors, and we cannot forget the hard work of all our volunteers.
