Ocean State Job Lot — a leading brand-name closeout retailer headquartered in Rhode Island with 115 stores throughout New England, New York and New Jersey, will hold a grand opening for its 116th store (12th in New Hampshire) at 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, according to a press statement.

The store is located on 601 Nashua St.

Doors will open at 8 a.m. with a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. along with a donation to the New Hampshire Food Bank.

Festivities and prizes throughout the morning include: free food samples, a $200 Job Lot shopping spree; onsite dog adoption by Sato Heart Rescue; face painting and glitter tattoos byTrading Faces; appearance by Pete Brock from the New England Patriots Alumni Club; a performance from Legally Blonde: The Musical by The Riverbend Youth Company; a guitar and banjo performance by Amy Conley Music for Children and Young Adults; and live radio broadcast by WZID-FM. Also on display will be a police cruiser.

VIP attendees include Ocean State Job Lot Marketing Executive Paul Conforti, Marketing Executive David Sarlitto, Regional Manager Dan Reed, Milford Store Manager Bill Smith, Milford Selectman and State Sen. Gary Daniels and Milford Board of Selectmen Chairman Mark J. Fougere, District 23 State Rep. Barbara Biggie, and other local dignitaries. New Hampshire Food Bank Executive Director Melanie Gosselin will be on hand to receive a donation of nutritious, shelf-stable food from the Job Lot Charitable Foundation at the ceremony.
