KINGSTON — The NH Renaissance Faire (NHRF) is seeking volunteers to help preparing for their annual Faire on May 9, 10, 16 and 17 on Tucker Road in Kingston.
The Faire has live steel combat with knights, belly dancers, jousting, music, and comedy acts. The Children’s Glen has games and crafts and face painting for little ones. There are seventy-four merchants and craftsmen and craft demonstrators. The Food Court has a variety of delicious food. There is plenty of free parking, handicap parking and shuttles to parking lots. This is a rain or shine outdoors event.
Happening in May each year NHRF is a big job to get organized and ready to present to the public. NHRF would never be able to exist without all the many volunteers who make it happen. On April 25 and May 2 there will be work parties. Also, after the faire everything needs to be organized and stored for the winter. During the Faire there are many jobs that need volunteers.
Run by the Three Maples Renaissance Faire Corp (501c3) the NH Renaissance Faire is a family oriented charity event whose mission is to donate money to local charities. This year’s charities are the NH Food Bank and Rockingham Meals On Wheels. In the past ten years they have donated $56,497 to charities.
