Helping those in need through New Hampshire Tackles Hunger football games

The annual New Hampshire Tackles Hunger football games are this weekend.

Bring non-perishable food items to high school football games as the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association and WMUR-TV team up with the New Hampshire Food Bank to help feed the hungry.

Items needed include peanut butter, jelly, tuna, soups, pasta, sauce, and canned fruits/vegetables. No glass containers, please. Cash donations will also be accepted.

Games involving area teams this weekend are: John Stark at Monadnock, Franklin at Fall Mountain, and Farmington at Winnisquam on Friday night; and Man. Central at Concord, Merrimack Valley at Kearsarge, Kennett at Pembroke, and Bishop Brady at Bow on Saturday. The Hopkinton/Hillsboro-Deering cooperative team, which plays a JV schedule, will also be accepting donations at its home game on Friday afternoon.
