Hunger in America: 2014 Hunger Report
Every four years, Feeding America hosts the Hunger in America study to quantify the impact that food banks across the country have on their communities.
How did we compile this data?
The research for the Hunger in America 2014 report for the New Hampshire Food Bank was conducted from October 2012 to August 2013 by trained staff, VISTAS and volunteers of the New Hampshire Food Bank. Our trained staff, VISTAS and volunteers traveled to designated sites — sampling clients of food pantries, soup kitchens and other agencies. The surveys were administered electronically using tablets.
We also conducted a census survey of all of our agencies. Once the data was collected, WESTAT conducted a data analysis and worked with Feeding America on the reporting format.

The New Hampshire Food Bank was just one of the participants in this study that illustrates how greatly food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters rely on food banks across the entire country, not just here in the Granite State.
