Heritage Helps Foundation provides 1,000 meals to the community
As part of their Heritage Helps Foundation, Heritage PHCE sponsored a food drive during the 2017 holiday season and collected over 1,200 lbs. of shelf stable items for the New Hampshire Food Bank. Heritage also donated $450, with $225 collected from the community and then matched by Heritage.
The 1,200 lbs. of food equaled approximately 1,000 meals for the community and included much-needed non-perishable items like canned beans, rice, pasta and peanut butter. Donations were accepted by Heritage technicians during service calls and at their Auburn, New Hampshire office.
“We’re grateful to support such a great a charity like the New Hampshire Food Bank,” said Brad Chartier, General Manager of Heritage. “Giving back to the community is a big part of what Heritage believes in, and we look forward to future, successful food drives.”
Heritage provides cooling, electric, heating and plumbing services for Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts. The 2017 holiday season was their first year sponsoring a food drive officially as the Heritage Helps Foundation, although the company has previously supported local charities. Heritage is already planning on another food drive for the 2018 holiday season. If you’d like to find ways to support your community in the meantime, check out the Heritage Helps Foundation.
